첸 루오 빙 Chen Ruo Bing
첸로빙은 21 세기 중국 현대 추상 미술을 이끌고 있는 유학파 1 세대 작가다. 90 년 중국 개방이후 독일로 유학하여 뒤셀도르프 쿤스트 아카데미를 졸업하고 현재까지 독일에서 거주하며 활동하고 있다. “빛은 생각을 자극하고, 생각의 내부 흐름에 대한 에너지의 흔적을 남긴다.”라고 작가는 말한다. 서양미술의 세련된 색채와 동양의 절제된 미를 융합시킨 그의 작품은 21 세기 중국 현대 미술사를 이루는 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 3ｍ에 달하는 2030 작품은 바다와 하늘이 만나는 수평선에서 뿜어져 나오는 빛을 표현했다. 한자의 한 일의 획을 그은 듯 하늘과 땅이 만나 음과 양의 조화를 이뤄내는 모습을 추상화 한 작품이다.
Chen Ruo Bing is at the forefront of the contemporary abstract art movement in China. He graduated from the Kunst Academy in Dusseldorf, where he lives and works in the city. Chen Ruo Bing says, “Light stimulates thoughts and leaves traces of energy on the inner flow of thoughts”. His works, which fuse the refined colors of Western art with the understated beauty of the East, have played a leading role in 21st century Chinese contemporary art history. The 2030 painting, which is 3m large, expresses the light emitted from the horizon where the sea and the sky meet. It is an abstract painting that depicts the harmony of yin and yang when the sky and the earth meet as if drawing a single stroke of the Chinese character “One”.
